We are delighted you are interested in becoming an IEG School partner institution.
When you join us, you will be part of a global community of schools working to equip learners for success in our changing world. There are four steps to becoming an IEG School partner. It is a simple process, and we will support you all the way.
Before you begin, please read more about our requirements.
If you are interested in becoming an IEG School, complete our online form.
At this stage, we ask:
- for your essential contact details
- which curriculum, programs and qualifications you are interested in
- whether you are ready to offer our programs or skills.
If you are ready to move to the application stage, our local IEG School representative will send you the Application Form. The form is designed for you to tell us more about your school and learners. It also helps us get an understanding of how your school meets our registration quality standards.
We have registration quality standards for the following five key areas:
- mission and educational values
- educational management and leadership
- approach to teaching and learning
- how the physical environment supports teaching and learning and meets our requirements for the secure administration of examinations
- legal requirements.
When the Application Form is ready and sent to your local IEG School representative. They will review the form and may come back to you for more information. When we have all the information, we need to make arrangements with you for the approval visit. If for any reason you are not ready to move to the approval visit stage, we will advise you on the most appropriate steps to take.Â
Note: Science practical components
If you are planning to offer any practical science components, we will ask you to confirm that you have the necessary facilities and resources on the Application Form. For more information on science practical requirements you can contact your local IEG School representatives.
The approval visit is the opportunity to look at the evidence that supports the information you submitted on your Application Form. It will be carried out by your local IEG School representative – or by a specialist, briefed about your school and what you hope to achieve in joining IEG Schools.
The approval visit is not about looking to identify ‘one right answer’. We know that IEG schools come in many forms. Our network of schools includes some of the largest, and best-resourced names in education today, but also the smallest, and the newest which deliver effective education with few resources.
During the approval visit, we want to build a picture of your school, including your goals, educational ethos and curriculum, and to ensure that you understand our policies and procedures.

After the approval visit
After the visit, your local IEG School representative completes an Approval Visit Form detailing the evidence they have seen in relation to the registration quality standards. At the end of the form, your local IEG School representative will make a recommendation.
There are three categories:
- Approved
- Approved with conditions
- Not ready to join IEG School.
If approved to become an IEG School, we will aim to send your contract letter within 30 working days of the approval visit.
School Reapproval Visits
Reapproval visits are not about looking to identify issues but rather to support you as you deliver IEG School programs and partner qualifications. During reapproval visits, we want to build on what we already know about your school, discuss your goals, educational ethos and curriculum, and make sure that you can continue to adhere to our policies and procedures. Your local IEG School representative will usually carry out this visit.
After the visit, your local IEG School representative will complete a School Reapproval Visit Form detailing the evidence they have seen concerning the registration quality standards.
We will aim to send your confirmation of reapproval letter within 30 working days of the visit.
If you are approved to join IEG School, we will send you a contract letter to sign and return. Signing the contract letter completes the registration process. At this stage, we hope you will be able to reflect on a professionally rewarding, supportive and educationally valuable experience.
You will receive an IEG School Welcome Pack which contains a range of information about how your school can engage with the IEG Campus learning community. The Welcome Pack will help you make a smooth transition to IEG School. You will also receive an IEG Campus – School wall plaque to help you promote your connection to IEG Campus.
You will be given immediate access to our curriculum resources, professional development events and training, as well as marketing support resources to help you explain the features of IEG Campus – School programs and qualifications to parents and learners.
