This degree is designed to create enterprising graduates who have a solid grounding in the core business skills required to solve real-world business problems, read and manage data, work ethically, and communicate effectively.

You will have the opportunity to build a specialisation by choosing a major in either Accounting, Agribusiness, Business Analytics, Economics, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Management or Marketing. This degree provides you with the opportunity to select elective units from across the university to build your areas of interest and ability.

For example, you can choose to add more business units, or study a language, take an international study tour or international exchange, study science and technology, history, theatre studies or political science to name a few.

The Bachelor of Business can also prepare you for a career as an Accountant. It has a different structure to the Bachelor of Accounting; however, if you wish to achieve professional body entry, you will need to select specific units.

Elective units:

Candidates either complete no elective units or 8 elective units, depending on whether they undertake ONE or TWO Majors as part of their program of study.


Candidates must have successfully completed an Australian Year 12 qualification or an overseas equivalent. It is recommended that students have previously studied mathematics. Candidates must also meet the University’s English Language Requirements for Admission.
